Happy 32 Years, Gross Automation!

This past Wednesday, August 3rd, the Gross Automation team put together a wonderful event full of vendors, speakers, mini golf, family, and more! Throughout the day, we enjoyed hearing from our speakers Alexandra, Daniel, Ian, and Robert. Alexandra Goodson, ABB Electrification, spoke on Decarbonization, Decentralization, and Digitization – The Technology Behind Green Energy. Daniel Lightsey, ABB Electrification – Smart Power Division, spoke about Situational Awareness through Digital Solutions. Ian Aultman, ABB LV Drives, talked about Practical Application and Case Study of an Ability Solution. Robert Gross, the CEO and founder of Gross Automation, talked about who Gross Automation is, celebrating 32 years of business, and about how automation can alleviate many supply chain and labor issues in US manufacturing.

Speaker – Daniel Lightsey (ABB Electrification – Smart Power Division)

We were joined by vendors from Bunell & Associates, Federal Signal, Mersen, SOLA HD, Hoffman, Hammond Manufacturing, ABB Process Automation, ABB Electrification, ABB Electrification – Smart Power, Jokab, ABB Thomas & Betts, ABB LV Drives, TE Connectivity, WD Engineering, WEG Automation, Westermo, Molex, HPE/ Aruba, and Carlo Gavazzi. Gross Automation also introduced its newest brand, Streamline. It was Streamline’s first event! They came and showed off their two newest products of an Enclosure Bracket Mounting Kit as well as comprehensive offering of Solar Combiner Boxes. The Solar Combiner Box Series offers solutions for solar power; while the Enclosure Bracket Mounting Kit allows any enclosure to be mounted to a variety of flat surfaces or poles.

Customers came and visited vendor booths, played a round of mini golf, and got to eat some delicious pig roast from Maple Creek Farms. The Gross Automation team held this event with the goal to bring knowledge and exposure to new trends, products, and resources that are available to both vendors and customers, while having a little fun! The hardworking team at Gross Automation turned the entire building, including offices, our Customer Experience Center, panel shop and garage into a trade show like event that featured a miniature golf course throughout all the booths. This course set up led customers through all the vendors and encouraged engagement from all.

August 3rd is also the 32-year anniversary of Gross Automation.

At the end of the day, we invited friends and family of the Gross Automation employees to come and join us for a taco bar dinner! While vendors and customers were welcome to stay and enjoy, we got to celebrate 32 years of our hardworking Gross Automation family, and their loved ones.
